MD Namaste. My family is from Kerala, but I was born and raised in Central New York. I moved to Bangalore at the start of 2006 for my husband's job and have loved it. Currently taking a break from my post-graduate medical training, I have spent my time here exploring Ayurveda and Reiki, dabbled a bit in modelling and voiceover work, worked as a medical consultant, and now have run the BEC since June 2007. I speak English and Malayalam, and my hobbies include travelling, exercise/outdoor activity, books, movies, good music, all kinds of food, wine, and dessert (of course). I have greatly enjoyed meeting all sorts of people from all over the world through the BEC and hope you make as many great friends as I did to explore this great city with! Ciao.

Speak some French, German, and Danish (my mom is Danish) -- embarrassingly no Indian languages (yet). I like comedy, play guitar, do yoga (took courses in Mumbai at the Yoga Institute there), and miss California red wines.
Looking to expand social circle here and get advice from seasoned veterans to Bangalore.

Head of Science and Innovation I arrived in Bangalore at the beginning of this year to take up a job building UK-India links in science and innovation. I spent much of 2008 in Delhi and worked for a while in Kolkata in 2004, so I'm not suffering culture shock (though crossing the road here is a bit of a challenge!).
I really like music (listening and dancing rather than performing), books, food, wine, diving, skiing.
