Robin B  BE1017  INDIA
Operations Manager
Hi, I'm Robin from Texas (don't let that scare you!). I'm excited about the next two years here in Bangalore with IBM and am looking forward to making some new friends! I love all kinds of music, would kill for a good margarita and some chips and salsa and approach life and new experiences as a fun adventure! I enjoy reading and wouldn't mind finding a local travel and/or shopping partner. I enjoy going out on the weekends and painting the town red, but am equally happy reading a book or sharing a conversation at the local Barrista!

We arrived in Bangalore in the middle of June this year (2009)and will be here for at least a year but hoping to stay longer. I have previously worked for a couple of months in Chicago but Louise spent three years in Hong Kong and a year in Australia. We are keen to experience as much of India as possible and have so far had a long weekend in Goa and a short trip to Kabini River lodge. Only language is English, I'm afraid. Hobbies include listening to live music, good food and good wine!

I came to Bangalore from the US in July to help set up a computer refurbishing operation at a non-for-profit technical college. I’m trying to create a self-sustaining enterprise for this school that will be in place long after I leave. My background is in politics and public policy. Now, a year before law school, I'm in India for 6 months to a year doing this social entrepreneurship project. And am already enjoying Bangalore immensely.
