Head of Science and Innovation I arrived in Bangalore at the beginning of this year to take up a job building UK-India links in science and innovation. I spent much of 2008 in Delhi and worked for a while in Kolkata in 2004, so I'm not suffering culture shock (though crossing the road here is a bit of a challenge!).
I really like music (listening and dancing rather than performing), books, food, wine, diving, skiing.

Associate Myself and my partner Simon moved to Bangalore at the end of October. I accepted a new position within Goldman Sachs hence the move to India. After much discussion myself and Simon decided that it was a good move for both of us and we took the plunge in October. We both graduated from Nottingham University. Myself in Business in 2005 and Simon in Physics in 2006. I started at Goldman Sachs on the graduate scheme in 2005 and Simon worked in a small IT company after graduating before the move to India. We expect to be in Bangalore for between 18 months and 3 years.
Simon has lived abroad all his life both in Zambia and Oman before attending boarding school in England for his GCSE's and A levels. Therefore, it is useful that Simon has the experience of living abroad and understands the difficulties/problems that it presents.
We are both extemely sporty. Simon is a keen golf and squash player whilst I enjoy tennis and swimming. We are both keen long distance runners and enjoy participating in half marathons. We also both enjoy outdoor activities such as scuba diving, skiing, climbing, and bungie jumping.
Between university and starting at Goldman Sachs I travelled in Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. I speant two weeks in the Summer of 2007 trecking in Ladakh with a friend which was an amazing experience. We are both looking forward to the opportunities of travelling that living in India creates.
We are looking to meet like minded people who enjoy sporting and outdoor activities. We are also keen to meet people who would like to travel with us around India and the rest of Asia.
