Hi, My name is Jesper. I have been permanently in Bangalore for about 1 month. Have been commuting from Denmark to Bangalore for a period of about ½ a year before that. I am leading the establishment of an IT service management organisation in our Bangalore affiliate. I am married to Ann-Karina and have two daughters, aged 3½ and 7. Interests are of course family as well as travelling, running, mountainbiking, skiing, the nature and outdoor activities. I like cars and motorbikes as well.

Lisabeth and I moved here from Chicago for her job and will be here for 2 years. For now, I will be concentrating on setting up our new home. Eventually, I would like to find a job or full-time volunteer opportunity.
I worked in various positions at Northwestern University including Director of the International Office, which assisted international students and scholars with their visa and immigration status. Next, I spent close to 10 years as a Senior Immigration Paralegal with a major law firm and in house with a major consulting firm.
For the last 2.5 years I have worked in politics. I spent 13 months working on the Obama campaign.
As far as interests, politics is a big one. I'm also a big sports fan, baseball being my favorite - I'm anxious to learn cricket! My wife and I are campers and hope to get out of the city and see India from that perspective.
Moving to Bangalore is the first ex-pat experience for both me and my wife. We have travelled quite a bit in the US, North America and Europe.

I just arrived newly to Bangalore and worked previously in Bangladesh, Kenia and Rwanda in Health Programmes. I've spent many years in the Middle East too. I speak French and German as mothertongues, English, Russian and to some extent I understand Spanish and Italian. I love outdoor activities and sports (tennis, bicycle riding, swimming), cultural events (cinema, music, theatre) and like good dining and socialising.

I speak fluent Spanish and some very rusty German and French. I’ve also done some traveling in India but am open to more road trips-my list of places to see is not completed yet. We are starting up a joint-venture with a local company in BLR. We have been here now for 3 months (stayed in Oakwood) and fly back to Holland on Feb. 12. From June 1st we will be based in BLR for at least 1,5 year. After that period we might stay, or move on to Middle East or South Asia.
Ivy is from the Philipines, I'm from Holland and spend 3 months/year travelling to UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, India etc. Ivy speaks Tagalog and English and me English, Dutch and German fluently. Our hobbies are going out eating/drinking, exploring nature, tennis and music.
At the moment we are checking on property for our relocation and want to move away from the center, it is simply to hectic and crowded for us. First we go back to Holland to celebrate "carnaval".
We would love to become member and make new friends and share experiences.

I will be in Bangalore for the entire month of February (hopefully longer) for training our colleagues there for Thomson Reuters. I believe Brock Noland was in your group, and I heard great things about your club. I was born in Japan, but have been in the US for the past 9 years. I love to travel - I have been to Central America several times, went on a one month trip around Europe, a month in Thailand, etc. I usually like the backpacking/hostel style of traveling, where I don't have problems meeting people, but this will be my first time that I'll be staying in a hotel, so I think I'll need the extra help. My main hobby is Ultimate Frisbee, but I've started to take up tennis again after a long hiatus. I also do salsa dancing, skiing (mainly cross-country), etc. I picked up Spanish during my 1 month stay in Guatemala. I, of course, still manage to speak Japanese fairly well.
